eBay

Am I the only one who's amazed by the amount of money that people will pay for items on eBay?

I'm not talking about rare, one of a kind items - just bog standard things that you don't want/need anymore.

Have recently sold alot of used computing and network stuff on that's un-needed now I've upgraded it etc. - and in at least two cases the final autcion price that it reached (including postage) has been more than the cost of a brand new one unsure.gif Just sold a ADSL Router on there and that went for about the same price you could buy it brand new off of eBay. Also, a 802.11.B WIFI Card, that sold for more than I paid for a brand new 802.11.G one off of amazon. I even sold some laptop RAM on there, in the description I even linked to the page on crucial.com that you can buy the new memory off of - and it sold for more than the price of a new one on the very page that I linked to wacko.gif

Why do people pay more for something second hand than a brand new one?!? People do amaze me at times!

It's because people 'think' they allways get a good price when they buy something on eBay. It's called marketing original.gif

Yes, and I think people get carried away with bidding too. I know I nearly bid a price which was over the price paid in a store for an item. People forget though, their aim is just to be the highest bidder and win the item.
This is very true with the XBox 360, Why can't people wait a week for it instead of paying 1,000$
