Demo System Updated

Posted by Charles, 19 June 2009 · 216 views

The demo system for our software has been updated to include IP.Board 3.0.0 along with Gallery, Downloads, and Blog. This is a great way to try out IP.Board 3 if you have not yet wanted to try an RC release or if you are not currently an IPS client and are considering a purchase.

There is a limit to the number of active demo accounts that can be online at one time so if you are unable to sign up now please do try again later. Thanks!

I've requested a demo and currently I only see a forum_package.tar package (if I click on that it'll start to download) and install_forum.php (on click it gives an error message: Warning: require_once(./initdata.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory...)
Sorry about that. Demo system got a bit overwhelmed for a minute there. Give it a try again if you don't mind :)
Can anyone tell me where is the demo system? Is it an online demo?

Thanks.

Why can't I reach the Blog, Gallery and Download Manager apps?
Yeah, the blog/gallery/downloads seem to be non-functional.
Should be fixed now :)

The demo is an automated system that sets these things up and sometimes it becomes unhappy with us.
You need to update this page to reflect the new version number.
The whole web site is getting a refresh with IPB3 final so we're letting little things like that go for now :)
I tried it and I just got an error message of:

The IPS Demo Server houses temporary demonstration installation of our software to allow prospective customers to try our features before purchase. If you are seeing this message the demo account you attempted to access may have expired or experienced an error on automatic creation.
I've tried once again as it didn't work last time...now I've received the same error message as GMMYERS...

Too bad the demo system is either not working at all or is full. I've been trying to apply for a demo since yesterday. I am eager to take a look at v 3.0 because I have to make a decision regarding the software I'll use for a new website I'm building.
Send me a PM if you have any issues as the system should be working fine.
If the demo system has been updated, wouldn't it be a good idea to edit the IP.Board Demo page (allows you to sign up to the demo) so it says "demonstration of IP.Board 3.0.0" indead of "demonstration of IP.Board 2.3"

Charles addressed this in an earlier response.

We will be refreshing the web site soon, and this will be handled when the website gets updated.
IP.Board 3.0.0 is out. Where is CCS? :P
IP.Board 3.0.0 ain't out yet... atleast I don't think so, I think it only says Powered by IP.Board 3.0.0 at the bottum of ips forums because of a mess up... but don't take my word for that :D
Ok, maybe it is out, my bad lol
