IP.Nexus Second Pre-Sale

Posted by Charles, 09 August 2010 · 726 views

We are very excited to be nearing the first public beta release of IP.Nexus! There has been much interest in the community for this new product and we cannot wait to get it out the door so everyone can start to enjoy its ecommerce, support, and other features.

As this product deals with monetizing your community, we are being very careful with its release. We do not want to release a product that might be unstable when it is designed to collect money on your behalf. Therefore, we are going to offer pre-sales for IP.Nexus in two phases. We are now ready for the second pre-sale phase. This second phase is available for purchase now and will be available for 24 hours.

The final, retail price of IP.Nexus will be $74.99 plus an optional renewal of $35 every 6 months for continued support, services, and upgrades. For this second round of limited pre-sale, we will be offering those that purchase during the next 24 hours to buy IP.Nexus at a reduced up-front price of $50 plus no renewals for a full year.

In return for a large discount, those choosing to participate in the pre-sale phase will have access to a beta release of IP.Nexus and a private forum to give us feedback. Please note that if you are one of the pre-sale participants, no ticket support will be offered. You are also going to be using beta software so there will be issues and we will appreciate your feedback and bug reports.

To order, simply login to the client area and click New Purchase. You will see IP.Nexus under IP.Board Optional Addons. Once 24 hours has expired it will disappear so act now! Once you purchase, login to the company forums with same you use in the client area and you will see an IP.Nexus testing forum appear under the Customer Lounge forum.

Promotion Expired

The 24 hour time for this promotion has expired. Thank you!

GUYS... some of us do NOT come to the forums every 24 hours!!! If I was sent an email to my address I'd have considered any of the two pre-sales that I missed!
Yup it was by chance that i checked the forums when i did. Wish i got sent email stating this was going on sale cause im sure more people would've bought it.
Okay so even though there was knowledge available about the second pre-sale, it's still IPS's fault that some people missed out on it?

Well if it makes everyone sleep easier, the second pre-sale will be August 9 and will be time-based not number based. It will last at least 24 hours.

Bad luck then.

Someone could watch company blog and announcement forum then, but that's really hard to do.
not hard at all - just subscribe to new topics
Truth of the matter is that IPS could have made it a news announcement, put it in the calendar, sent out mass emails, advertised it in the New York Times and the Washington Post, advertised it on some major networks such as CNN, etc, even sending text messages to peoples pagers and cell phones.  Then when someone misses out, they will find some way to blame it on IPS for not doing something to make sure that they were given a fair chance to buy it.
Isn't there going to be a 2nd pre-sale beta? Or was I dreaming that? Either way, I pretty much marked off on my personal calendar for August 9th. Nexus is great.

Um, August 9th has come and gone already.

Does IP Nexus require u to have a paypal account, because I can't receive payments with paypal because of my location?

No, just like IP.Subscriptions, developers can create gateways for other payment methods (and I believe a few others are included as well).

Agreed. I can't be  here 24 hours a day refreshing every 10 seconds like some of us <eyeroll>

I know, I was saying when I read about this sale being on August 9th, I marked my calendar so I wouldn't forget it.

So as it's already been stated: you could subsribe to the company blog and get the freshest information direct from the source.

No - that is "could have subscribed." None of us here would have thought that something as important as a Nexus presale would be omitted from a mailing and but placed in a company blog.

Oh come on. You are forum admins, surely you should know the features of the product? Immediate notification -  This option will send out a notification immediately after a new topic has been made, regardless of your activity.

You know IPS doesn't send out emails, and all recent company updates have been announced in this way. So why dont you watch the company blog or the forum? Not difficult and while I complained the first time around, I'm sorry but you can't fault IPS this time.
