IP.Nexus 1.5 Dev Update: Selling Domains

Posted by Mark, 25 May 2012 · 2,762 views

IP.Nexus allows you to sell hosting packages with using integration with CPanel/WHM.
In IP.Nexus 1.5 we're adding support to sell domain names too using integration with eNom.

Once set up, customers purchasing hosting accounts will see a new option to purchase a domain name:

The TLDs available and their prices can be set in the Admin CP.

When selecting this option, the domain will be added to the cart like a normal item:

When the customer then pays, the domain will be registered through eNom. The domain then shows as a normal purchase associated with the hosting account:

A renewal invoice will be generated as normal when the domain is due to expire, and when renewals are paid, the expiry date will be updated with eNom.

This feature requires an eNom reseller account. In future versions of IP.Nexus we will add  additional registrars based on interest.

wow, nice, would expect name.com intergration in future versions :D
i'd vote for hover! ;)
I would suggest namecheap.com but they don't offer reseller services for it.
eNon there domain prices are well over the top, got to start some where i suppose
Will this work for selling domains only without a hosting package?
You're not kidding right? The cost of eNom reseller account...

I would suggest namecheap.com

+1 for this
eNom reseller is too expensive.

Well, their are more better well knowns of domain registars like name.com or namecheap.com and that would really benefit for resellers.

You went with the registrar which is one of the most expensive.
namecheap doesn't have a reseller program. You can use their API to register domains, but you'd make no profit from it.

name.com also don't have a reseller program - they have something in beta, but it's not something we could add to Nexus at this stage, and I couldn't find any pricing details - so we don't know if it will be any cheaper than eNom ;)

If you mean there API there aren't any annual fees or setup costs, you pay for each domain as it's registered

As Mark mentioned their API is still in Beta version, once it goes final we can consider it.
What about Go Daddy API?
As they support Reseller as well.
