IP.Content 2.1.0

Posted by Shadow Wolf, in IP.Content 11 November 2010 - - - - - - · 334 views

With the newest version of IP.Content some things were changed with the initial demo. They made integration into IP.Board a lot smoother. To facilitate this change they had to added an IPContent.CSS to the board skins, which made some changes and over-rode what I had already set up for IP.Content. It wasn't too much since I knew what to look for,...

A long time ago back when IP.Content first came out I started with 2 Tutorials to help people. That was before there was any documentation.

Tutorial: Creating a Basic Content...

FLV Video to IP.Content

Posted by Shadow Wolf, in IP.Content 11 October 2010 - * * * * * · 221 views

I do like the Media system that IP.Content has included in it. Youtube is one of the most used video media sources on the internet today. It has content ranging from funny to serious to music to art. It is definitely a good choice for a database module that they showed in the demo. For my other projects however youtube itself is not a viable medium. Not...

Spicing It Up

Posted by Shadow Wolf, in IP.Content 07 October 2010 - - - - - - · 215 views

I wanted to add something a little flashier to the standard IP.Content Article system. I decided to add in a Article Slideshow using jquery. You will have to modify the red text areas to link to the URL where you have the following js/image files.

ACP -> Look & Feel -> Manage Skin Templates Sets &...

Backing Up Files

Just like I did with IP.Board, I want to back up and clone the IP.Content Templates that I will be using and editing. Starting with the Front Page (1x2x2 Layout).

ACP -> My Apps -> IP.Content -> Article Templates

Front Page (1x2x2 Layout) is the default front page layout. I am going to Edit that template and...

Basic Setup and Image Border

Posted by Shadow Wolf, in IP.Content 01 October 2010 - * * * * * · 195 views

Basic Setup

When I'm working with things I don't like to with a blank canvas. The same goes with a database and forum, if there isn't any data or anything posted then it makes it harder to look at the end picture. I'm not going to make a bunch of Articles and Posts just yet, but I do need to at least create some forum...

Tools of the Trade

Posted by Shadow Wolf, 01 October 2010 - - - - - - · 45 views

Before we start on doing some editing, there are a few tools that really help make this job easier. At least depending on the web browser you use. I happen to use Mozilla Firefox. Having these tools makes editing, testing and figuring out how things work so much easier when dealing with web...

Forum and IP.Content Installed

Posted by Shadow Wolf, in IP.Content 01 October 2010 - - - - - - · 146 views

The easy part is now out of the way. I have installed IP.Board and IP.Content. For testing and initial purposes this is considered a testing license. There is an Admin and Guest account which people can use to post comments and access the site. No one will be able to register. Once I'm done with this project I'll transfer the active IP license over...

From Wordpress to Joomla to IP.Content

Posted by Shadow Wolf, in IP.Content 01 October 2010 - - - - - - · 250 views

For those that know me I am not a programmer. I do have some basic understandings and can by, but I would probably consider myself more of a modder. I know enough to be dangerous but not necessarily enough to do that good. LOL!

When IP.Content first came out I was really excited. I was struggling with getting a Forum community into something a bit...

About Me

Posted by Shadow Wolf, in About Me 01 October 2010 - - - - - - · 55 views

I'm going to attempt to tackle a few projects using IP.Board as my main focus. I really like IP.Board itself and by itself it is a great powerhouse of forums in my opinion. However like others I would like something that I can easily plug into a website to make it seem seamless. It is possible if you are good with programming and fluent in web design....
