I'm a pretty political guy. I'm known for my left wing ideas (as evidenced by my current and previous avatar) over the last year or so I've been toying with the idea of a new website. The idea of the website is that I would post articles trying to raise awareness of political ideas among the nations youth and help them become more politically aware, there would be more too, but that would be the main thrust of the site, especially from the start.

Now I'd really like to use a CMS like IPDynamic, but there's one problem- such things require web design capacity, and I can't web design. This is not through lack of trying. I have, many times, attempted to learn HTML, CSS, graphics and what not. With code I find it creates a sense of insomnia. Many a time I've been attempting to code HTML got through my second table or, more recently div, and the next thing I know its 5am and my design features about 600 pages worth of adganewobaphs,fasbsdpnajladndffSD,AMsmdand. Similarly graphics, attempts with graphics show a lack of patience towards Photoshop. I have a habit of swearing whenever things don't come out how I want (which is all the time) and throwing things. The graphic at the top of this article was done in paint. Badly. I have seen images done in paint quite well. That image is not. It is crap. Crap of the highest degree.

More importantly I have absolutely no eye for aesthetics. Something of a failing in any potential web designer.

I got the domain, and I got hosting and to solve my problem I got PHPNuke. Big mistake. I quickly became pissed off with its lack off customability, and other portals I tried were either buggy, awful or added superfluous features. You would think that lack of customability wouldn't be a huge gripe in someone who can't code or do graphics but you see I'm an elitist faecesty web design.

As a result it either comes to doing a page Maddox-style, with a design that looks like faeces and uses no images (though at least he can say he's doing it on purpose), going back to Portals (ugh) or getting a web designer.

I am poor. Very poor. I cannot afford a web designer in a million years. Unless.... I am hoping that out there somewhere is a web designer willing to help me in this project, not just as designer for my content, but as an equal. Someone willing to handle the backend while I do the moaning in article form. It would be hugely advantageous also if they were someone I already had on either MSN or AIM contacts.
