Arobase is a famous skin that has been around for quite some time, it is clean and elegant skin, comprising of soft shades of blue, coffee and cream colours that should fit in well with most IP.Board forums.

What is it?
Arobase is a fairly simple, but highly affective, IP.Board skin which is created using the CSS and new images, there are little template changes.

Arobase was originally designed for an older IPB version, and was updated for IPB 2.3.x, the 2.2.x version is still available as a seperate download for those who require it.

What are the benefits of using it?
Skins are still the most popular addition to any IP.Board and only take a few clicks to install! This skin will suit a wide variety of forums with different themes

Additional Information
This skin comes with the full button sets for IP.Blog, IP.Gallery, and IP.Downloads. It also comes complete with the PSD files to allow complete customisation over the logo, team icons, and buttons. This also allows forum owners to create additional buttons with great ease!

Interview with alphega
Please could you describe your skin, highlighting what the theme is
Arobase is a very simple skin, as all the modifications are made by the CSS file. I did not know what colours I would use at the beginning. When I did some testing with a "coffee-cream" colour, I found it interesting. I chose something with more contrast for buttons with the blue colours and highlights.

Please explain why you decided to come up with this skin, and why you think it has benefited the community
Arobase means the @ symbol in my language and what better than a symbol linked to the Internet for an online discussion forum. Initially this skin was dedicated to my main website (pcentraide.com). I spent much time online because I really did not know how to go about it, I was so happy to have left something correct that I wanted to share it and I was very surprised that it has been so successful.

Please give us a few details about yourself, and why you decided to start creating skins for IP.Board
After this first skin, some people asked me to skin for their boards or encouraged me to continue provide free skins. It's nice to see that one of my own creations is used and appreciated by the community. That gave me the desire to create other skins and share them. At the same time, it allowed me to manipulate CSS and its attributes that I did not know at all before, learning as I went along.

Have you any tips for people that are interested in skinning for IP.Board, but don't know where to start?
The best way to begin to skin in my opinion, for people who do not have any knowledge of HTML / CSS, is starting to customize their own forum. First, changing a few images and backgrounds with graphic software can help to really change the look of the forum. Then by editing the style sheet, with colour codes, you can have surprising results without taking the risk of breaking the design or making it incompatible. The rest will come along, maybe we want to change a little width or height in such a box and naturally begin to modify the templates. This is an easy way to start with HTML / CSS.
