Attention Radio Heads

Over the years hundreds of forum owners have enjoyed the many unique features that an online live radio brings to both their forum's and their community's. It's fun, entertaining and provides a massive boost to the popularity of your website.

Bouncy Radio Center is a truly unique application that brings a whole new feature to IP.Board, but it the fun doesn't end there. As time goes by people want new and exciting new things which will unite their communities and bring members closer together. They want more interaction and more ways to connect, and today we have taken 1 step closer to having a more interactive radio station.

How? simple, the Bouncy Radio Request Hook. It's a simple idea with a big impact. It allows for the community to interact directly with your radio DJ's in a very unique way. Think of it like a shoutbox. But only the DJ's can see the window containing the "shouts".

This allows for members to request songs, submit answers to competitions and pretty much make any request to the DJ's and the DJ never has to leave or refresh a page. We've also added Notifications, so when the DJ approves or accepts a members request, they will receive a notification letting them know that the song they requested is about to be played live on the radio.

Sometime's it really is the simple ideas which make a big difference, and after the short testing by a few communities, this hook has already proven to be a massive hit, with both the DJ's and the community.

The hook is now available to the public for just £2.99 and I hope all you Radio Heads enjoy it as much as I have.

Don't forget, if you have any ideas or suggestions for any of the "Bouncy" applications, hooks or other products, let me know. I love hearing feedback for our products and getting the community here involved with feature development.

First suggestion is that only users can make a request, and guest's not.
This is very important if you have a big radio, not all listeneres are member of my board but if i install this hook only my members can make a request.

Second suggestion is the price, it is maybe very cheap but i think it is a better idea to give this hook for license holders free.
Bouncy Radio is a very nice app, but it is also not cheap £30,00.
All other IPB App, skins and hooks are cheaper.
So i think it was better to give this hook free to all bouncy radio license holders.

Edit:
I respect that this is a very nice hook with to many work.
But this is only my idea.

There is no way to manage flood control for guests, so the request system would be spammed by bots and malicious users if guest requesting was enabled. At the moment there is no good way to manage guests requesting (i've tried several methods for hours)

In regards to the pricing, the hook is only available to license holders, so giving it free to license holders would mean giving it free to everyone. There are already 3 free hooks available for the radio center, and the more hooks and addons i create the more support, time and resources that are needed to support them, so unfortunatly i can't always offer all addons for free. That said, this hook is alot more complicated than the other free addons for the Radio Center.
How does the DJ thing works. How do you get your DJ system to work with the hook?
Brilliant bit of gear Anthony and since I know the work involved etc i'd say your under pricing it tbh, can never understand why some expect everything to be free

The Radio Center lets you define members as "Not A DJ" (default), "Guest DJ" or "Resident DJ". This information is saved to a members profile. The hook then connects to the Radio Center to determin if the Radio Server is online, it then checks if you are a DJ in order to show the window of requests or not.
