Add custom pages to your board

Easy Pages is a new application for IP.Board 3.2. The idea is pretty simple: You fill in a page title and some content, and then you can see it on your site. That's it! No frills, no complicated wizards or long pages of settings. It just works.

There is a little more to it than that, but that's the gist of it. You can also limit which user groups can see a page, for instance, and choose whether to use your IP.Board skins or give each page a design of its own.

You can get Easy Pages for a one-time fee of $8 USD. That gives you the app, updates and top-notch support for as long as the app is around.

So is this basically like DawPi's Pages mod?

Similar, but more flexible. As far as I can tell, his application puts all pages within a wrapper, within your skin. It provides no way of defining your own URLs, or of using a custom design, or of creating reusable page elements.

I of course mean him no harm or offense.
This would be sweet, but I think it lacks a setting I really need. The ability to set a user or group to be able to edit the page, without accessing admin CP.

You could use Admin CP permissions to do so. They would have to log into the ACP, but you could give them access to create or edit pages and nothing more.

Yeah, no. I need it this way so just a normal member can maintain a certain page.
Just purchased this. The custom URL's tipped me over the edge to buy it. Cheers Ryan, just what I need :)

I noticed that this has a FURL directory of /page/ will this not conflict if people have IP.Content installed?

It was switched to 'pages' shortly before release to avoid just that.

That is the whole idea to increase competition, and make more mods the same which then gives people a choice, I bought this and its brilliant, I hope you will support it mate better than the other. Many thanks for the mod mate worth every penny.
Can I set a specific page as the index page?
For example I'll install my board on /portal. When users access the /portal, it should display the page I created, possible? And I'm also curious about 'Use IP.Board Skins?", what could be the output if I set it to NO? Can I also add JS code such as jQuery?

You could do that with a file edit to initdata.php. Following the directions from AndyF here, you would set the app as 'easypages', then on the next line have: $this->request['page'] = 'key_of_default_page';

If you change the skin setting to 'No', nothing is put on the page except what you type into that box. You have to add your own <html>...</html> and such, but you can do anything you want--including, yes, using jQuery if you'd like.

Well to be honest, I don't have a need for most of the extra features in this mod, I like to wrap my pages in the skin conatiner which is what DawPi's free mod does.

A couple of more questions:
  • Is there an option that I will not use the CKEditor so that I can create page using HTML codes?
  • If I create page using HTML, can I also put IP.Board template variables on it? Basically, I will set the skin setting to 'No' but I will include functionalities such as the login, account dropdown, notifications, logout and search - all that you can see on the top right corner of this site.

Yes, there is an option to disable CKEditor by default.

It may be possible--I haven't explored nearly the extent of possibilities with parsing--but I rather doubt it. Most of those are specific to the location they're at in the skin templates.
