Long time no post 
It seems this year is turning into 'Year of the Gig' for me. Up until 6 months ago, while my music tastes were fairly varied I still listened mostly to dance music. For some reason my taste changed, and I'm now far more into Indie stuff. My dads also into that stuff so we've been trying to get tickets for various events.
So far this year, I've been to the wireless festival (keane) and weekend before last I went to V festival (Embrace, Franz Ferdinand, Scissor Sisters).
I don't think you can beat the festival atmosphere, but we've also got tickets to 3 concerts before christmas: Kaiser Chiefs in October, Athlete in November and now.... Coldplay in December!
I was up at 8:30am F5ing ticketmaster because Coldplay tickets went on sale this morning at 9am. Managed to get 4 tickets. A certain well-known PHP coder was also buying tickets, and ended up 2 rows in front of me in the same block. Coincidence eh?
