It started off so well. Excluding my first, poor blocking attempt, my first stage of the dialogue animation got an A. I've now got a C two weeks in a row, this week being the 'final' week for it.
I don't know what's going wrong. I'm making sure I spend longer than I've done in the past on my animation each week. I'm trying to fix the errors brought up in critiques and others I spot as I go through, but I feel like I'm getting nowhere. This week I really thought I had something to be pleased with - it's nowhere near perfect and compared to someone that knows what they're doing it's not brilliant, but I think in the past 2 weeks it's really come on. But I got a C for it - that's the lowest I've got so far on the whole course and the only other time I've got a C was last week. It's disheartening. I'm not expecting to get a brilliant grade every week because I'm new to this, but I'm at least expecting (well, trying) to progress forward, not backwards. If I got C in week one but worked it up to an A that'd be just what I'm looking to get out of this course. In reality it's the other way round but not for lack of trying.
Sorry for the depressing rambling rather than some (hopefully) interesting stuff I usually post about it.
Here's the 'final' piece anyway. Next week we start a new piece, I'm doing a piece of dialog from Dumb and Dumber.
(This is encoded as H.264 Quicktime, DivX and 3vix are resulting in files too big to upload now)
