I sympathsise with anyone that's injured for an extended period of time, I really do, because I'm going mad and I've only been injured for 2 days.
On Tuesday morning I woke up and got dressed, but as I put my arm up, something made a bad noise in the side of my neck, and I couldn't move, and it was agony. Turns out I pulled a tendon in my neck. I managed to get on the bed again. Ever had your fiancee's mother rub painkiller into your neck while you lay on the bed in your underwear? I have. For most of Tuesday I just laid on the bed. Wednesday I managed to get on the sofa. Today it is a bit better, I can move around but I'm a bit bent over because it hurts to put my head straight. It's more of an ache today rather than a pain like it has been.
I didn't want to go to hospital or see a doctor because they have enough to deal with at this time of year and they'd only tell me to rest it anyway. I read up on it on the internet though, and it said if there's a pain in the relevant arm too it should be seen to because a nerve could be trapped in the shoulder/spine. My arm has felt dead even before I did my neck in, so maybe it is related. I'll see a doctor if it's still like it in a couple of days.
Anyway, I'm not really an active person by any means, but it has driven me mad not being able to move around. I haven't done much more than laying on the bed/sofa and getting up for the toilet, and coming home from Becs today, but I'm bored already. I sympathsise with people who are bed-ridden permanently or for long periods of time. It sucks.

I had a back operation 2 years ago, where everyday for 7 months a nurse would have todo a wound dressing for me. Every day i would lie on my side. I couldnt sit, or anything, it was HORRIBLE. I can totally understand. I cant say ive had my fiance's mother do that, but i have had a whole whack of people looking at my ass while the nurse did the dressing. Kinda embarrasing.
Good luck.
