Part 12: Community Blog 1.1 information

Since ICB1.1 PDR1 has been released I recieved multiple reports about the Dynamic Header Image feature. Altho the feature works like it should, it is not so easy to setup. I have been thinking about how to do it better. It should be easy for admins to get the images right.

Invision Community Blog 1.1.0 PDR Release

Today we have released version 1.1.0 PDR to our Blog customers. I'm pretty excited about this milestone. Altho it is a Public Development Release, it should prove to be fairly stable.

So what's next?
From here on I will move to a supported Pre-Final (PF) release. Depending on the number of bugs reported this should follow within a couple of weeks....

Invision Community Blog 1.1.0 PDR1

As many of you should have noticed by now, we have installed version 1.1 PDR1 on this board. This means that the release of PDR1 is not very far away at this point.

We will test this out for a couple more days before we will release it to our customers.

In the mean time, if you find any bugs, please let us know by posting a bug report on the Blog bugs...

It's sunday night again, time for the weekly update. Ok, this week has seen more then 1 update. Well, who's counting anyway.

This entry is kinda special. The reason is that this is probably the last update on 1.1 features. I'm finalizing the 1.1 release this week. Most likely we will see a team release this week and a first PDR not very long...

Part 10: Community Blog 1.1 information

This is a quick update on the progress.

I have had a couple of requests to allow the user to limit the size of the entries on the main blog page, with a 'more' link underneith. I went ahead and added this feature. I do like to explain it a bit more.

This is by no means an easy feature. It sounds pretty simple...

Part 9: Community Blog 1.1 information

Version 1.1 is progressing nicely. This weeks update is a modification of the private Blogs feature.

Private is now private club
Private Blogs used to be private as in only you could see it. More of a secret diary. This has changed in 1.1. You still have the option to make you Blog private, but in addition you can invite buddies (other members) to see it....

It's that time of the week again to give you an update on the progress of the Community Blog version 1.1 development.

This feature has been requested a lot and was something that has been on my list a long time now.

Lock skin to Blog
The Blog owner (if allowed) is able to lock a skin to his Blog. This is another step in more customization of the Blog....

The next feature which I am presenting is something I'm pretty excited about, and I have named it "Dynamic Header Images".

In fact it is split into two different settings:Strip header/footer; when enabled the Blog will be displayed without the forums header and footer. In staid a new header is displayed for the Blog.Enable Dynamic Image...
