... that's the question.
I've had trouble with my internet connection all day. If there is one thing that is annoying, then it is loosing your connection. Especially when you are in France and you can't speak a word French... Ok, I can order a beer, or fetch some bread and all. But try explaining in French that your connection isn't working... I didn't try to be honest. And fortunatly after a whole day of being disconnected, my connection is back.
Ok, enough of that...
Today I had some time while the kids (and girlfriend) where asleep. So I continued my work on the Blog. This time I made a change which is kinda major from a functionality perspective.
But before I get to that. I also added quick edit for comments. No need for a screenshot as you all know how this thing works. For the Blog it will be the same. I did not make a quick edit for entries, as I feel that's not really needed.
So what's the big change then? I did away with the header/footer stripping. In fact it is now allways enabled. The naming was allready a bit confusing, but the feature caused me a lot of trouble. In fact when enabled it is fine, but when disabled I would get bugs all over the place when friendly URL's where enabled. Also the inline Blog settings and the drag/drop where not working. To make this work when header/footer stripping is disabled (meaning the default board header) would be next to impossible to accomplish. That is the reason why I never added it in this mode. Now, I decided that header/footer stripping really is not needed. Anyone, who wants the default board header could just skin it in anyway. While I was add it, I also added the logged in information on the 'Blog member bar'.
I know this is a big change, that some might need to get used to. But I hope you can understand the reasoning behind it. This also paves the road for a feature I am planning in future releases. But that will be revealed in due time.
