I felt the urge to post a new Blog entry. There's a lot of things going on behind the Wizzy scenes.
First of all. We will see a new point release for the Blog in the next coming weeks. There have been a couple of bug reports which I fixed. Nothing major, but things that needed fixing.
With IPB 2.1.3 we also saw the release of the Oracle driver. I am happy this is done now. The next (point) release of the Blog will also have Oracle support.
I am also putting together a rough list of things I want to add to the next version. This will most likely be called version 2.0. I have a couple idea's that makes this a major new release. When the time comes I will disclose these idea's.
On a more personal level. It was my sons birthday yesterday. This are exciting times for the little one. We got him some great presents. The top attraction was Playmobile castle. He loves that stuff and I must say; it brings back the child in me. I just love putting that stuff together with my son (eventho I usually say "Damn, that is gonna cost me an hour to put together"). The truth is; I love it and I wouldn't care less if it was 50 hours
Next week is "Sint Maarten". The Dutch alternative for Haloween. I'll see if I can make it do 'Trick or Treat' with my kids.
Also "Sinterklaas" is coming to our country soon. I think I blogged about him last year as well. If you want to know who he is; you can probably do a search on my Blog. I just love this time of year.
Quake 4 got released. I used to be a very active Quake III Arena player, but lost interest approx. 2 years ago. However the news that Quake 4 was coming got me exciting again and I bought myself a copy. All I can say is that it brings back memories. The multiplayer (I am not interested in the single player) is like Quake III Arena. Overall the game is pretty good and I hope it will become the next big game of online gaming. It sure has the potential. I myself will likely play a couple of games for old times sake. My old clanmates have the same feelings. So if you see [MIA] W1lz0r online, you know it's me. And yes, I am still a mediocre player at best
Me and my girlfriend are currently spending a lot of time in arranging our wedding. I am not a big fan of these things. But it has to be done. In the end it will pay-off tho.
As you probably can tell; these are exciting times.
