The next version of the Blog is still very much in progress. The XML-RPC API is done now and is working nicely.
The next task I took onto myself was to clean up the code. What I mean with that is run thru the code and prevent any PHP notices. This sounds like an easy task, but in fact is a lot of work. There is a good thing about it. It is a good way to detect minor (mostly unnoticable) bugs. When working on this subject I found myself actually enjoying this. It's giving a weird sence of satisfaction.
As you all know IPB2.2 is in heavy development. What you might not know is that every new release of IPB also gives me (a lot of ?) work. On the database driver side of things that is. The installer sql needs to be updated, the upgrader sql, sql cache files, testing everything to see if there are any specific DB problems, and not to mention new database specific routines. I try to start this work as early in the process as possible. It is easier to change things when IPB is still in the early stages of a new release then when it is almost done. I must say that Matt and Brandon are doing a fine job.
Next on my list: updating the Blog upgrader/installer.
