Currently I am working on fixing Blog bugs and clean up any missing things. Things like the new Quick Edit en Fast Reply need to be put in the Blog as well. I find it important that there is a large amount of consistancy between the Blog and IPB itself.
Bugfixing can be very bad for your hair. Especially when you want to pull it out when you hit a bug that is either very specific or very hard to fix. I still got my hair. So far so good
Fixing bugs can give you an odd sence of satisfaction as well. It is like playing Galactica (the old timers amongst us will probably know what I mean). Galactica is a game where you are a little spacecraft and your task is to shoot enemy crafts that go from left to right and one step down. They continue to do this until they hit you. In the beginning it is easy to hit them (as there are many), but it gets harder when the number of enemy crafts decreases. Bugs tend to be the same.
Apart from getting the Blog ready for release I am also working on the MSSQL and Oracle drivers for IPB 2.2. Many of you might not know this, but I develop the Blog on SQL Server. This has many advantages. During the process I can test the MSSQL driver as well. SQL Server also has an easy interface to make changes to the data and edit data online. It also helps me to make required changes for each new version of IPB immediatly on MSSQL too. Last but not least I am able to identify issues that require code changes in IPB itself. It is best to report these as soon as possible to Matt and Brandon so they can make the necessary changes.
I would like to finish this entry with a request to you. If there is anything you want me to talk about in my next Blog post feel free to place a comment. I will try to answer any questions you may have

Same here and this is something that I think you've done a wonderful job with.
When it comes to things for you to talk about in your next blog post, I think it would be interesting to hear what you see would be the next big step for a future version of the blog. Thoughts and ideas...maybe it's adding more options for users to style their own blog, maybe it's being able to post via email, or maybe something else. I realize you might not want to share too much of your future thoughts, but that's something I'd like to read about anyway.
As always, thanks for a great IPB Blog component!
