I have been quite busy with the release lately. Before each release we need to make sure that the MSSQL / Oracle driver are ready to go. Next to that we always do a QA test to make sure there are no major issues. After each release attention turns to the ticket center. Each release brings an extra amount of tickets. We do our best to handle these as soon as possible.
This release was no different.
When things settle down a bit attention turns to bugfixing any issues that may still be there. We do a lot to prevent bugs (internal tests, QA test, security audits, private beta tests and public beta tests). But all of these cannot prevent all bugs. After a release we have to deal with all different server setups and specific use that came thru the cracks of all tests. However I can tell that I am quite happy with the latest IP.Blog release.
There are some minor issues reported and I have fixed these bugs and am ready for another point release.
Having said that. I also discovered some minor issues with the new XML-RPC interface (Blogger API, metaWeblog API). The most obvious being smilies not being parsed right. This issue has been resolved. I have tested it with several tools. However I could use some help with testing the interface. So my request to you is to test out the interface. See if you can make it work with your favourite weblog posting tool. Do you have any issues posting / editing / deleting? Please report any issues you may find. Any help is very much appreciated
