I am currently on holiday in France. I come here every year to celebrate my holiday. France is a beautiful country, so I really enjoy my stay here.
What is great about this holiday is that I finally have time to spend with my kids. This is a real joy. This morning my son brought my wife and I breakfast in bed. This was his own idea and obviously we loved it. This is not what you expect from a 6 year old. This is the kinda thing that makes you real proud.
These are the days where I can really relax from day to day business. Life over here is very laid down. We get up, get the kids some food before they go to the animation. We then take some breakfast and a nice cop of coffee. When the kids get back we have some time to play with the kids. In the afternoon (depending on the wheather) we usually go to the swimming pool to relax some more. My son has his swimming degrees so he has no problem swimming in the deep. My daughter on the other hand still goes into the water without fear. She really enjoys swimming with us, and we make sure she is safe with some swimmingbands. It is amazing what she can do. Mind you, she did not even start 'real' swimming lessons. She did swim with 'mom' every wednesday. After she gets four she will start the real swimming lessons.
When I am in France I also have my laptop with me. I would not leave home without it. With the nice wifi connection I have over here, it is like being home. I got all my stuff with me. I also spend some time doing the usual programming. Not because I have to, but because I enjoy it. During my holiday I have plenty of spare time to get some work done. Blog development is progressing and I am also working on DB stuff for 'the next big thing'. I'll probably show something off when I get back home, but don't hold my word on it
