@^@#^@#^$$#@!

Posted by , 01 February 2005 · 12 views

You probably are thinking, what the .... is this entry about and what does @^@#^@#^$$#@!!!! mean. Well it is how I feel right now (at least that is the only way I can express it using characters).

What happened?

Some smuck bashed the rear window of my car last night. In front of my own home! I thought I was living in a decent neighbourhood. But this says it all.
The worst thing is it is just pure vandalism. There was nothing to get from my car, it was empty. It doesn't appear they actually tried to find anything. It's just the rear window which is smashed.

So:

@^@#^@#^$$#@!!!! angry.gif

Sometimes you wonder what world we live in nowadays unsure.gif

So that made me feel a little better, let's hope it get fixed soon.

Aww sorry to hear that. Those stupid ######s should find a better thing to do then smash what others worked for. getlost.gif
Well, it's allready fixed. We have a company in the Netherlands called CarGlass and they come over and fix it for you. It is a temporary fix as they did not have my rear window in stock, but at least it is a fast service.

Also the guy of CarGlass suggested that the window might have broken by itself. I'm uncertain to believe that, but it does explain a lot. But driving a car which windows break by itself, isn't actually something that makes me feel a lot better.

So that's how you succumb to a phobia of glass. fear.gif
A window that breaks by itself?  Sounds weird.

Yeah it does to me as well.

But look at the facts. Most of the glass was actually outside the car. The window was smashed into 1000 pieces. Whole window gone. Nothing (apart from glass) was found in the car. There was no indication that 'someone' actually looked in the car. You can open the window (without opening the 'trunck' door), as in the glass itself is a door.

So to smash a window like that you would need a special hammer. And why smash the window and leave the rest of the car alone?

I find it hard to believe, but it does make more sence then somebody just passing by and smashing my window (completely) for 'fun'.

I guess I will never find out getlost.gif
Maybe the seal around the glass went bad, mine did that and it needed replacing.  They said it was just a matter of time before I'd lose my window if we didn't.  I didn't mind doing it especially as it was covered under warrenty.  Not for anything but I'd feel better thinking it was a defect in the car vs someone vandalizing my property.
its possible what the carGlass people said... Read about it somewhere
I suppose its their profession too. So you have to trust them on these things.

I now know for a fact that the window broke by itself. A friend of mine, who has the same car, just broke his a couple of days ago. Somebody saw it happen. The damn rear window just broke sad.gif
