Now 1.1 Final is out the door, I have not been doing much development wise. I'm taking my time to finish of a list of features for the next version and take (I hope you agree) a well deserved break.
I finally found the time to re-install my PC. It was about time to do that (yeah yeah I'm using Windows). The number of updates and driver installs, new hardware, etc. was way too big, so my registry was filled with rubish. Not too mention a failed Oracle install which did not uninstall properly. So I had two Oracle services running. All-in-all clean up time. As usual these things take time, but I love running a clean PC again.
During this install I found out there was a new verison of UltraEdit. Obviously my key did not work on the new version, so I bought the new version. I figured it was well worth it, taken the time I use the tool. Those guy's over at UltraEdit showed what service is all about. They told me the upgrade was free as I bought the license less then a year ago. I totally missed the link on their site, but they were kind enough to point me to it. That's great service. The new version of UltraEdit is pretty handy and I allready love it.
I'm sure it hasn't been unnoted that Matt is using the 'Ajax' technology for some great new features in IPB2.1. This technology has a lot of potential and I will be looking for ways to use it in the Blog.
I did not do much on my birthday. I turned 32 and the only special thing I can think of being 32 is that it is 2^5. So the start of my 6th bit to to speak. Thanks to all who have given their best.
Dutch politics was another feast this week. The opposition pulled a quick one and it escalated in a minister resigning. This could even turn into the whole government resigning. The party responsable for all this is not in the least bit my favourite. For people able to read Dutch, I have written a Blog entry on the subject on my Dutch personal Blog. You can read it here.
To finish off. Tomorrow it is easter. Time to hide some eggs and let my kids find them. I'm allready looking forward to that.
