I do apologize for the lack of blog entries; it's been rather busy the last months here at IPS. However, I do want to take some time and update everyone on where we stand with Nexus.
Development Update
We've been working on putting the final coats of polish on before sending out the public beta. I've reworked several areas to make them easier to use. One example would be the Knowledge Base, here's a screenshot of the new interface:

The "Category Manager" and "Article Manager" have been combined into a single "KB Manager" interface, as shown in the screenshot. The new system allows for inline editing, as well as drag & drop. The lock icon represents an article/category this is not published to the client area and only viewable from with the admin section of Nexus.
I've also reworked the package manager to be a little easier to use. The "Package Group Manager" and "Package Manger" have been combined into a single "Package Manager" interface. The new system has the same expand/collapse options as the KB, as well as the inline editing and drag & drop.
Several other sections have Nexus have received some minor updates as well. There have also been quite a few bugs fixed.
I've also been working on the developer documentation. This will help developers create custom modules, hooks, events, gateways, and more. It provides a general overview of how Nexus is setup, as well as documentation for all the core API classes. The documentation also includes an example module, hook, event, custom page, and a few other example items.
Beta Update
The private beta testing has gone very well, our testers have done a great job of helping us find bugs and generally improve the product. Most of the improvements made in the last few months have been a direct result of feedback from our private beta testers.
We're working on moving into the public beta phase now. Essentially we're working on finishing the documentation and getting the website in place. Once that is complete, we'll be able to begin the public beta testing rounds.
