The release of Custom Sidebar Blocks 2.0.0 brings with it a couple of the most requested features. Namely, now it has PHP support and the ability to fully sort the blocks.
PHP support means you can create whatever type of block you want. You can create simply messages addressed to the user by using their forum name in the block, or something as complex as showing the latest reputations and where they were given. I have 4 PHP block tutorials already created in my CSB Blocks forum here. If you have any other blocks you would like, that require some PHP and tapping into your forum data, please post in the comments and I'll do my best to create a tutorial.
Here is a few PHP blocks to show off the expanded capabilities of CSB 2.0:
Also, you can now export any custom block so that you can then turnaround and import it from ACP->Manage Hooks. That way, you have full sort-ability from ACP->Manage Hooks. Just drag and drop it from that page just like any other hook. And you still control the properties of the block from Custom Sidebar Blocks->Manage Blocks.
No more wishing you could place one CSB above "Latest Topics" but below "Latest Files" (or something to that effect).
2.0.0 also brings a couple of other minor improvements including a new "Save and Reload" button to save you a click, as well as a sidebar from the Edit Block page, so you can see what the block looks like currently without going to the public index.
Thanks for reading, hope you like the new (and still free) version!

Do you know if we can get the advanced text editor like is standard in IPB now?
