The first and the latest version. This is a Standard function in IPB 3.3.3 after the suggestion from Wasterhelp.

This hook will ignore small search words below the maximum number of characters (Setting in your ACP = Minimum search word length) instead of giving an error.

So "i want cupcakes but i cant find them" becomes "want cupcakes cant find them" (If your minimum search word length is 4).

Yep i agree, its just more user friendly.
indeed .. its one of my few complaints about IPB .. their searching abilities is really lacking .. this should really be stock .. nice work Edgar
