I provide a ton of original content -- images, docs, and video . Some I make on my own and some I commission. The problem I have is not long after posting some jerk on my site takes it and posts it on FB as his/her own material!
If the customer is using IP.Gallery, I would like to see a setting for attachments. Most users don't get the difference between attachments and uploading images to a gallery album and then inserting the picture into the post. They just want to stick a picture in there. They don't care where it goes after they insert it. If a member does not have an album created, makes the process of inserting an attachment, create a new album called "attachments" or something like that.
I wish I could agree with that. I have seen members leave my site to create multiple individual FB groups based on my specific forums. It is not for a lack of content or engagement on my site that is driving the migration over to FB. I believe this is due primarily to three things: 1. Ease of use - it's easier to post pictures and links on FB 2. Mobile - it's easier to access FB on mobile 3. Laziness - members are too lazy to post or reply with more than a sentence or two Don't get me wrong. I LOVE IPS. I have been a user/admin forever! I am very loyal to the platform and I really hope that 4.0 will allow me to address points 1-3. Thank you for all your hard work! I know what goes into developing software applications and appreciate all that you do!
