IE 8 error when tryng to edit any skins
I'm running the English language version of IPB 3.0.2 and get an error each time I go into a skin to edit anything. It doesn't matter which skin I choose, Default, Lo-Fi, or XML...the same error pops up on the screen with all of them while it's loading the skin editor into the browser.

I'm running Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7, final release, and have tried this with both compatibility mode on and off...same result.

"There was an exception executing this command"

pics of error attached, This error does not occur with Firefox.

Issues after 2.3.6 upgraded to 3.0.2
IPB 2.3.6 to 3.0.2 upgrade, I used the 3.0.2 file from 9pm Eastern time on Thursday August 6th, this should have been after the build was updated regarding the browser security issues.

Bugs I encountered during my test:

I received an error about upgrading from 2.3.6 to 3.0.2 and followed the suggestion here to bypass it: http://forums.invisi...043&#entry68043

I received 3 more errors early on during the upgrade but was able to continue on, I didn't copy them down like I should have. Here is a link to the sql log from the cache folder though, it may help: http://forums.carolinaeuros.com/302log/302log.txt

After the upgrade: Avatars and signatures were missing from posts. User profile images were fine and showed up as normal.
When I tried to rebuild the signatures, in System, Rebuild & Repost, I got a generic IPS driver error, like it couldn't find something.

When I tried to update my profile "status" it wouldn't save the data. Also, if I enabled the profile status hook on the main page, it would crash the index page and give me and IPS driver error. The only way to fix this was to disable the "status" hook from displaying on the main page.

I've been testing IPB 3.0 since the RC1 version and this is the first time this has happened. For my upgrade process, I backup my database, always. Then I remove all folders from my 2.3.6 root except the uploads folder, I rename that folder to "olduploads" temporarily while uploading all the 3.0.x files. Then I delete the empty uploads folder that is part of the base 3.0.x install and rename my "olduploads" folder back to "uploads", so all my images remain. Then I perform the upgrade.

I didn't have these issues when testing out the RC or 3.0 release. I see there were some problems with the 3.0.2 update today, regarding security and .js files, but I downloaded the build a few hours after all of those fixes were integrated into the 3.0.2 install .zip file.

Any ideas on what is happening? I put my forum back to 2.3.6 for now, until I can figure this out. Are some of the tables that become obsolete in 3.0.x not importing the 2.3.6 data properly before the old tables are removed?

    Thank you!

  3. obyone89 added a comment: PM issues

    [quote name='PRG' date='07 June 2009 - 12:58 PM']
if I PM someone via their profile, I get a pop up error that says "undefined". The message still sends though.

(This is RC1. Sorry, forgot to fill that out.)

I am also seeing this issue with RC1. If you view someone's profile and then click "send me a message" the new PM window pops up and after you fill it out and hit SEND, you see an error box that says "undefined." I've tried with Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 8 and both have the same result.
