[This site] Guests can't view signatures?
    Hi there,
Not sure if a bug, but that seems weird… the guests can't view posts signatures.
    Thanks,

    Holy macaroni @bfarber !
You knew that bug and found a solution.
    Hats off, it works perfectly!

Yes, that's what I said in the bug report: the workaround works everywhere, except in the IPS code. And I don't get why…

Thanks! But… unfortunately, yes, the image is in another HTML element (with max-width:100% also), and it still doesn't work.
    For instance:
    <div style="max-width:100%;"><img src="my-large-image.jpg" style="max-width:100%;" /></div>

[RC 2] Image max-width doesn't work with Firefox
    Hi there,
I found a nasty bug in Firefox .
If you put a large image with a max-width:100% CSS property in the #ipsLayout_mainArea div, its max-width=100% property doesn't work and breaks the fluid responsive design.
Here is an example with a large image on the board index, that breaks the fluid width ( there is an horizontal page scroll ):

This issue comes from the fact that the  #ipsLayout_contentArea div has a CSS property display:table . It is a well known  Firefox bug ( https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=975632 ).
There is also a well known workaround ( http://blog.room34.com/archives/5042) , which consists of using a  table-layout:fixed CSS property on the table element.
So, I tried to apply it to the #ipsLayout_contentArea element, but sadly it doesn't work:
    #ipsLayout_contentArea { table-layout: fixed; }
The large image in Firefox still breaks the layout.
Do you have any idea on how this issue could be solved in Firefox?
    Thanks a lot,
Note: This problem doesn't occur in the forum posts, as they don't have a display:table CSS structure.

    Hi there,
I saw you guys at IPS did a specific implementation of the lightbox script.
Have you implemented the image caption with data-title?
    Thanks a lot,

Don't worry, some CSS tricks would certainly do that for you.

    Quote for glory!
Thanks a lot for your feedback, that's so really appreciated.
You should definitely post more in the forum… oh wait, no, we would start to understand the code

    Damn it!!
    That works!!
    Wow, thank you so much!
I have no idea what it means, but it works

Thanks a lot Rikki for your help
    Concerning your answer:
… the problem is in fact in loading all the IPS4 javascript!
I'm doing it in an external page of the IPS Suite, by loading the IPS4 includeJS template:
    echo \IPS\Theme::i()->getTemplate('global', 'core', 'global')->includeJS();
… With this template, I do get JS files:
    <script type='text/javascript' src='//mydomain.com/ips4/uploads/javascript_global/root_library.js.4e735bc7724882ee4f20ef5abae196aa.js?v=a292f9b4dc' data-ips></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='//mydomain.com/ips4/uploads/javascript_global/root_js_lang_5.js.09fdba56cb26df0b32a1233a797b1604.js?v=a292f9b4dc' data-ips></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='//mydomain.com/ips4/uploads/javascript_global/root_framework.js.c885a7807236224513450d716f5439ee.js?v=a292f9b4dc' data-ips></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='//mydomain.com/ips4/uploads/javascript_core/global_global_core.js.411563dd32fdf2c828e042c6adf40a31.js?v=a292f9b4dc' data-ips></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='//mydomain.com/ips4/uploads/javascript_global/root_front.js.8afab4e031e84ec2c76b01a83f5b3761.js?v=a292f9b4dc' data-ips></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='//mydomain.com/ips4/uploads/javascript_core/front_front_widgets.js.1dcf07c60ba9b1ac29783dd95fe4d17c.js?v=a292f9b4dc' data-ips></script>
… but when I receive a new PM, the <div id="elInlineMessage"> stays at the bottom of the screen, and doesn't open in a pop-up.
So, I think some javascript is not fired up, and that I miss some files… but I have no idea which ones.
Do you know how I can load the entire IPS4 javascript files?
    Thanks again,
  12. LaCollision added a post in a topic: Display ipsDialog?

    Hi there,
I'm packaging the IPS Suite in an external website.
I'm wondering which javascript file allows the app to display the pop-up modal window "ipsDialog"?
For instance, the pop-up that opens when we receive a new private message:
    <div id='elInlineMessage' class='ipsPad' title='Private message title'> <div class='ipsPhotoPanel ipsPhotoPanel_medium'> (… the content of the pop-up…) </div> </div> The javascript produces then a code like that:
    <div class="ipsModal" id="ips_uid_2" animating="false" style="z-index: 5050;"></div> <div class="ipsDialog" style="z-index: 5100; top: 0px;" id="elem_3165658_dialog" role="dialog" aria-label="Private message title" animating="false"> <div class="ipsPhotoPanel ipsPhotoPanel_medium"> (… pop-up content…) </div></div>
Thanks a lot for your help,

That's not really friendly for the average user… Any way to make it as default?
    Thanks,

upgrading from 3.0.5 to 3.1.2, seems like a piece of cake

Did this yesterday, all worked like a charm!

    2. Amy T

I hope it is just as easy to go form 2.3.6 to 3.1.2 as I might be doing that soon.

    3. AndyF

@Amy, it is :) , take a backup first obviously. Tip of the day: if you have custom avatars / emoticons (added into /style_x etc) move these over after, in theory it does move them but I always find its ten times easier to just copy them across after.

Thank Andyf, maybe I will buy the gallery at the same time.
