Thanks Michael! That's exactly what I was looking for!

  2. EBrown added a post in a topic: Manually Parsing IP.Content Database

Yes, so far I am using:
    $data = $this->DB->query( "SELECT * FROM mavra_community_ccs_custom_database_3" ); $newArray = array();   $i = 1; while( $row = $data->fetch_array(MYSQLI_ASSOC) ) { $newArray[$i] = $row; $i++; } but there has to be a better way to do this.

Does anyone know how to manually parse an IP.Content database? I need to randomly select one record from the IP.Content Database and include it on a specific IP.Content page, however I am not sure what I need to query in order to get the random record I need. (Getting all of the records would be a good start.)
    Can anyone help with this?
  4. EBrown added a post in a topic: IP.Content Page, Get Current Member Data

Is there an easy way to get the data for the current member in an IP.Content page? I mostly need their ID and SEO name, but I would like as much information as possible. I am building a page that requires some customization for each member.
Edit: Nevermind. I remembered $_REQUEST from over a year ago and tried it, and of course it had the member id which is all I need. Thanks to anyone who read this anyway. (By the way, this stuff should be documented a little better.)
Edit: New problem, how can I make sure a member is logged into the site? As I need this page to be members only.
Edit: Nevermind. I fixed that one too.
  5. EBrown added a post in a topic: Fatal error in hooks.php

I've gotten this error as well and would love a fix as I want to use the IP.Content Custom Menu Bar feature, as it's much more powerful than the one I designed, however with this error I cannot use it as I need the mobile theme.

Ah, great. Thanks a bunch man!
  7. EBrown added a post in a topic: [IF] IPB Shoutbox

So I seem to be having an issue with YouTube videos being displayed as the full video in my shoutbox. Is there a way to fix this?
1.41b Beta is the version I have.

I just had this issue 20 minutes ago.

Wow, Michael you are awesome. :D

I think $20 is a little high for something like this, I would personally try lowering it to $5-10.

It should be more compact, having two search feeds is just not worth it.

Looks really good, keep up the good work. :)

Elliott Brown's IP.Content (And IP.Board) Customizations (Custom Navbar and Sidebar)
While working in I.P.Content you find it very difficult to make a navigation bar and sidebar. This hook does most of the work for you, aside from the content of course. With this hook all you have to do is go into the settings and modify them to create a Navigation Bar and Sidebar to fit your forums theme. (Should you use your boards Default Theme. It can be custom, but it MUST be a board theme.)

You can find the modification and screen shots at: http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/4009-elliott-browns-ipcontent-customizations-navbar-and-sidebar/

This modification gives you settings for page names, where the pages go, and the ability to have more than one page that uses the same navigational bar name. Such as using the name staff and having another page (i.e. jobs) in it that you want to use the same name.

You can input RAW PHP/HTML for the hook to use for your sidebar, and it will place it in the sidebar for you. You must simply "echo" the content you wish to display.

will show it on the tracker of your forum. So even if you do not have an IP.Content License or installation, you can still find use for this mod, as IP.Content is NOT required.

I offer lifetime support for it (so long as we stay in business), so should you encounter any issues, you can simply ask on our forums ( http://www.arteixinc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/898-elliott-browns-ipcontent-customizations-navigation-bar-and-sidebar/page__pid__3533#entry3533 ) and I will try to do my best to get it working.

If you have any questions, or comments, you can PM me or post at the link above.

    Elliott Brown (EBrown)
echo "<h3 class='maintitle'>Custom Sidebar</h3> <div class='general_box clearfix'> <div class='_sbcollapsable'> <ul class='hfeed block_list' style='margin-top: -5px'> My custom sidebar! </ul> </div> </div>"; This hook works on IP.Board 3.1.x and compatibility shouldn't ever be a problem due to it being it's own hook being separate from affecting anything in IP.Content or IP.Board. You can use it with any applications for your board that use the boards theme, as it integrates right into whatever theme the user has selected. A quick demo of it live can be found here: http://www.arteixinc.com This mod not only works on your IP.Content Installation, but it can affect any link you want. For example, you want to use a custom Navigation Bar for IP.Shoutbox, IP.Blog, IP.Downloads and IP.Tracker, but you don't have IP.Content. For the Navigation Bar Link Paths, you can enter any path on your forums. I.e. forums/index.php?/tracker/
