I got the issue fixed the issue where my admin account was not being created. (Note: I'm using IPB as the master and WP as the slave) Turns out that if you set the default admin account on Wordpress to use the same email as the email that you use on your IPB install it won't create the account on WP because the email already exists. Simply change either the WP admin email or your email on IPB and log back in and your account will be created. Just remember to make it an administrator. :)
Hey MT, I just purchased and installed the application and everything seems to be working fine although I am running into one issue that's bugging me and has subsequently locked me out of my wp-admin panel. All of my other user's accounts are being created in wordpress when they log in but my admin forum account is not being created in wordpress when I log in on the forum. On top of that, I cannot seem to log in to the admin account on wordpress because the wordpress admin account wasn't created on the forum. So now I'm locked out of my wordpress admin panel. Any help? I'll shoot you a PM with admin creds.
Any way to disable betting for a matchup that's in a contest and only allow users to make a pick for their entry? It's a tad bit confusing having the betting form and the contest pick form mushed together when a user goes to make a pick. Especially if they don't want to bet anything.
I honestly think a feature like this is better off accomplished with a hook or add-on script. Give me all the base functions of a forum/community in IPB 4.0 and I'll add all the extra features that I want myself. I do not want IPB 4 to be bloated with features that I most likely won't use out of the box and I'm sure most community admins feel the same way. Give me what I need and I'll add the rest. Just my .
Each post and just a direct edit to the skin as I am unfamiliar with creating hooks. My plan is to display an icon at the top right of the post if the user is in a certain group. Kind of a custom (and free) version of that badges application. Here is what I want it to looks like now:
Only problem is that it appears under each post. There is one for admins as well as moderators.
I am still getting notifications. I have set the correct permissions (correct groups and forums) and notification settings (the one you mentioned above). Using another account on my forum I mention my account in a post. Log back into my account and I have no notification of being mentioned. Also, should the username automatically link to the user's profile?
I have just installed this hook and after installation the notification options do not appear in the Admin CP or User CP even with the permissions set. The link to mention shows but when I mention someone the name is not linked and no notification is sent.
