    Yep?

Thank you! I have used it before but had forgotten it, thought I was going mad...
  3. jasperjames added a post in a topic: Import Members from CSV

Hi all, hope you can help with this one...

    require_once( './initdata.php' ); require_once( './admin/sources/base/ipsRegistry.php' ); require_once( './admin/sources/base/ipsController.php' ); $registry = ipsRegistry::instance(); $registry->init(); $janeDoe = IPSMember::create( array( 'core' => array( 'email' => 'jane@doe.com', 'password' => 'abc123', 'name' => 'Jane Doe', 'members_display_name' => 'Jane' ) ) ); ?>

I can execute the script above and create a user, I would like to load the data from a CSV file (we have a lot of members) and am unsure how to develop the script further.

As far as my research and understanding goes I need to use 'fgetcsv' but am unsure how to get the script to loop for each row of the CSV.

Would someone mind lending me their brain for a bit?

    Thank you,

    Jasp

I have raised a support ticket but apparently this counts as custom coding and would appreciate the help of the great minds of the IP community...

Within a custom block (an advertised feature of IP Content) I have successfully loaded the great Nivo Slider on my homepage (index is set to IP Content rather than the forum). Within the one block I have the parse tags addtohead for the slider's css and javascript (hosted in the folder /nivo-slider folder in the site root). This all works A-OK on the homepage using a relative path.

I then want to load another slider (same code just different img's) on another IP Content page which is not in the root but two levels down. I have tried to use the relative path but this does not appear to work from the sub-folder page. It works fine with the absolute path but is there a way around this? I ask as the site will eventually change sub-domain and the more relative paths the less we have to do later.

I am aware of some short tags around IPB that call the board url such as the {style_images_url} within CSS and have found reference to {root_url} elsehwere but are there any that work within blocks?

That's what the search feature is for.

Is it? The search function does not compile all tags in an easy to read fashion or in a printable format that one could stick to the wall, quickly and easily (nay, ideal).

If I have to waste time building my own, so be it. But a little disappointing given an otherwise stellar product.

Documentation is your friend if you're trying to learn your way around.

There are also Community contributed articles that are helpful too... Usually have more real world examples of how to USE something..

Ah, but the whole point of a cheat sheet is to overcome the data being all over the place. I had inquired via a support ticket but was told no such index exists, which is a real shame.

I would be happy to compile one if anyone else interested in contributing?

    Hi All,

I'm curious, does anyone have a cheat sheet for IPB.

I'm specifically after a list of template tags, short codes - really anything that list the possible board or user attributes which can be called within a block or template?

Ah ha! Set to automatic and that's done it, thank you.

    Hi Marcher,

Thanks for your reply, I can't see any setting relating to this under the Log In Authentication Manager. Can you tell me where to set this?

    Many thanks!

Thank you Guest both for finding this, and making me aware of it... .5.1->.5.2 is a simple re-upload of the files and done... seems authentication requests were needlessly being fired for login methods not this one... couple of code changes appears to avoid this.

Hi Marcher, I am still having an issue where the Gmail user gets redirected to Google to verify everytime, rather than just once.

I have installed the latest version of Sign in with Google fresh on my board which is also up to date, 3.3.4.

I'm not sure if Google have changed something with OAuth 2.0.

This is a great addition to busy news orientated sites.

We use Acymailing currently which also automatically converts urls within an email so they can be tracked. We can see who has opened the email, how many times a link has been clicked and how many users have unsubscribed. Are there any plans to add these kinds of features?

This is great, though I had a little issue until I realised the Redirect URI was calling http s which I don't have on my test server, changed to http and worked fine :)
