Not just a PITA, but they are doing something that will decrease down a forums traffic, not to mention waste admin and user time. I was assuming it was a bug but if they've done this more than once that's unacceptable.
Thanks, indeed that's the case. I kept poking around and was surprised to notice when I want to my notification settings that everything was set to not notify. So obviously the upgrade wiped out everyone's notification settings.
What the heck has happened to this forum, I used to post questions here and helpful people would answer. Five posts by me in this thread and not one reply and no one from Invision can offer a single suggestion why our forum notification system has stopped working after the upgrade?! Very frustrated. Again:
1. Thread notifications are enabled yet don't go out.
2. The forum does send out new email when a member joins so it can send email.
So why the heck aren't thread subscription notifications going out? Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Thanks
We run a private forum. We often get people trying to join that did not read the fine print and don't qualify. I would like to create a template email that when I deny membership gets sent to them automatically explaining why they were not given membership. I want it to be a different email then people who are given membership receive. Is that possible and how would I go about creating it? I searched on various terms but was unable to find the solution.
I checked and we have notifications enabled. Emails are being sent out when a member joins, but NOT for forum (subscribed thread) notifications. Again, this happened only since the upgrade. Any suggestions?
We've gotten it working again to the point that it is sending out notifications to new members. However it is not sending out thread notifications. Is there a separate area where we have to enable thread notifications? Thanks
