    Is there any way to at least change the icon to show "something" is in the cart?
  2. Riki added a post in a topic: Using Font Icons

    Ive been trying to change all of my icons in my theme to font icons and I keep running into situations where the image files are nearly hard coded into IPS.  A suggestion I have for IPS4 is the ability to use font icons for anything and everything.

    Speaking of, Ive spent a couple hours trying to get the rating stars as a font icon and I can get it all working except for the blue stars. The javascript for this is over my head.

    This looked so promising! I went to enable it but now it says "The IPS CDN service has been suspended". Hopefully you can get it running again in the future. Great work!

    Although the fad is dying, I would still like to see support for flash banners.  http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/352828-feature-request-allow-swf-advertisements/?p=2439696

    I came to post the same thing. I love this mod as well, great work! Is it possible to retain the cart information while you are in IPContent, IPBoard, etc? Let me know if I can help!

    I am looking for a system to help me create a collection of video tutorials. Would this system support the ability to have attached "project files" (zip file) that a user can download?

    Also, what are the key differences between this system and "Media System"?

    wow, I cant believe how easy that was. I should have asked sooner.Thanks!
  10. Riki added a post in a topic: [RESOLVED] Limiting Foreach for Custom Block

    Hi,

    Im trying to do something very simple. I am trying to create a custom block that I will use on my homepage that will show the 5 latest products. I finally figured out how to display the image and link to the product, but I cant figure out how to limit the results to just 5.

    Ive spent a lot of time searching the forums for a solution buy I just cant figure it out. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction!
    <foreach loop="$records as $r"> <a href="http://site.com/index.php?app=nexus&module=payments&section=eat3d&do=item&id={$r['p_id']}"><img src='http://site.com/uploads/thumb_{$r['p_image']}' width="250px" /></a> </foreach>

    Strange thing, but I also cant seem to increase the title truncate length. Can someone verify that it is working for them? It works for me with the Description, but not the actual title.
  12. Riki added a post in a topic: IPC Slider

    I just purchased this and its very well made.

    I just read through all the comments and it seems this slider cant pull an image from IP Contents attachments, it has to be the Article Image. Would there be an easy way for me to modify the code to pull the attachment instead? Alternatively, it sounds like Topic Slider will accomplish what I want, is that correct?

    Finally, how can I have a 2nd content slider on another page that pulls from a different Article Category?

    Thanks for the code. I spent some time tonight and simply could not get it working. Perhaps something has changed, but I eventually got it working with the following. I hope it helps someone!

    This is where I am putting the code: Templates > Page Templates > Article Templates > Editing template: Article View
    {parse date="$data['record']['field_4']" format="date" relative="false"}

    Another good idea if you want to use flash banners is to provide an image fallback if the user doesnt have flash installed or is on a mobile device. This is the html code I used when creating my flash banner:
    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://site.com/public/banners/banner.swf" width="728" height="90" id="ad"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="false"><param name="movie" value="http://site.com/public/banners/banner.swf"><param name="quality" value="high"><param name="wmode" value="opaque"><param name="bgcolor" value=""><param name="flashvars" value="clickTAG=http://site.com/index.php?app=nexus&module=promotion&section=adclick&id=2"><a href="http://site.com/index.php?app=nexus&module=promotion&section=adclick&id=2" target="_blank"><img src="http://site.com/public/banners/banner.jpg" width="728" height="90" alt="NoFlash" /></a></object> Its not a bad workflow since you really should have an image fallback anyway, to create a separate banner that is an image to count the clicks.

    I also think this needs to be supported. There is a way you can work around it and still count all of the clicks from the swf file. Its a simple solution but all you need to do is create 2 banners of the same thing, one being swf (id1) and the other being an image (id2). Inside the swf file you just create a normal link but point to the id2 ad and each click will be registered there.

    Mark, this should be easy to ad to nexus, just allow us to embed the flash file as if it were an image and we can put the appropriate link embedded in the flash file. This should count both impressions and clicks! :)

    Here is the swf file code:
    button.onRelease = function() { getURL("http://site.com/index.php?app=nexus&module=promotion&section=adclick&id=2", "_blank"); };
