Okay, they may have misunderstood initially. Here's what they're saying now: "Your database would be moved as it stands - we would not leave some tables out." So, does that mean that once I re-install your mod that everything will re-appear as it does now on my current self-hosted installation?
I'm considering moving my self-hosted forum to Invision's Hosted option. However, they're telling me that I'll have to re-install your mod onto my hosted forum, and go through and re-add all my prefixes. Since I downloaded and installed your mod a few months ago, we've added dozens of prefixes to dozens of different forums. In short, this would be the most time-consuming part of moving to a hosted solution.
I know you're busy and such, but can you think of any solution that might make this kind of transition easier? Perhaps adding a "backup/restore" option or a way I can just have Invision copy the relevant data from my database into the hosted solution (if they're even willing to do that...)?
Hi there! Having an issue with this plugin. I have it set up in a specific forum to allow people to choose prefixes. All groups are allowed to choose the prefixes set for this forum, except guests/validating/banned. My members are saying that when they choose a prefix, it doesn't add the prefix, but just adds the tag instead. Yet, when I myself do it (as an admin or moderator) it works just fine.
Am I missing a setting somewhere that's causing this?
I was hoping we might see the following:
Great add-on. Thank you for making this and supporting it!
[*]Ability to re-order prefixes in the "Manage Prefixes" admin panel
[*]Copy prefix settings. For example, on my board we do a year writing challenge every 2 weeks. I want a prefix for each, like 'Round 1', 'Round 2', etc. But to do this, I have to go through each one and manually set it up. It would be great if I could create the first, and then just copy the settings each time and change the round number.
[*]"Tags & Prefixes Tools" > "Mass-add tags or prefixes" -- it would be very convenient if the "Search in forums" box was larger. I have a ton of forums
[*]"Tags & Prefixes Tools" > "Mass-add tags or prefixes" > "Add Tags" box -- could it work like the Invision version of this box that we see on threads? Where you push tab, and it creates the tag in the box? I can't figure out how to add multiple tags at one time in this admin panel.
My apologies if this has been posted elsewhere. I couldn't find a specific topic about it.
Let me begin by saying the "Edit Permission Set" page is pure misery, if you have a lot of forums. I can't believe that every iteration of IPB has gone from bad to worse with this one page.
It used to be that it was difficult to manage multiple forums on this page, but at least they were broken up into categories. Now they're just one long list of forums, and I swear to god, trying to go down the list of check-boxes, over the course of about 500 forums, is like looking into a blackhole. It makes your mind start to scream. I realize that there's a lot of people who don't have as many forums as I do, but we have dozens of forums, and sub-forums, which are intermittently available to some permission masks, and not others.
Here's an example: Category 1 contains "general news" forums that everyone can view. But Category 2 contains admin-only forums. Category three contains mostly general member forums that everyone can view, but some forums have a sub-forum that's only for admins. So you can imagine that setting, for example, the "Validating" mask is a complete nightmare, because I have to go line-by-line over dozens of forums to see "Can a validating member access this? Can they post here? Or just see the forums?" It's awful, and I get a headache almost immediately.
Here's how to make it better:
1. Return forums to Category groupings on this page.
2. Break down "mass editing" by "all forums" and "this category". So, for example, I should be able to set ALL FORUMS to "Show," but then go back to a specific Category and uncheck "Show" JUST for those forums.
Please, I'm begging you: just make this panel easier to work with, for those people with a large number of forums. I'm not kidding when I say that I literally get a headache trying to work in this area.

We are considering adding into the IPB core in a future release, but need to abstract a few more things from IPB in order to do so properly. I'm a little confused... on the download page it says repeatedly this replaces the regular forum login. Is that no longer true?
Also, I'm wondering (again, my question above wasn't answered) how this handles people who already have forum logins -- does it just ask you to associate with a current forum ID?
