we are having problem with IE "only secure content is displayed" when using a Block feed on our support website. Our entire site is https. Feeds are coming through and they are displaying fine but in IE browser they are displaying without css formatting (it seems like) as the members icons are huge and the feeds overlaps the entire home page. Upon clicking the IE "Show all content" button at the bottom of the browser, the page loads again and the block feed display as normal. I understand that we can disable this feature on IE to show mixed content but we are looking for a solution without adjusting clients machines/browsers. Our board has 7000 members. Other browsers (chrome, firefox) display the block correctly without any errors. I've only tested it with IE 11 and 10.
We use IPB board as part of our support website. Logins are done on our support site and we use sso to simultaneously sign to the board as well. Upon entering the support site's home page, we use a block feed to display the latest posts. Again, this works but in IE we see the block load without css it seems like and upon clicking the "show all content" for the "only secure content is displaying" warring and the block displays fine after it's reload.
See attached screenshots please.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Can anyone show me how to add our relevant URLs for Maintenance, Register, Log In and Log Out in globalTemplate please?
we use SSO for the log in system but we still have "IPB Internal" enabled since we use some of options within it still.
Here are the options we use under "IPB Internal":
Log In User Maintenance URL
Log In User Register URL
Log In User Log In URL
Log In User Log Out URL
IPB support team suggest to disable "IPB Internal" option under "Log in Management" if we are using SSO and modify the globalTemplate and add the URLs manually in the template.
They said to look for the following line in the globalTemplate. The various sign in / login links start just below it but I'm having trouble finding the correct fields.
<!-- ::: TOP BAR: Sign in / register or user drop down and notification alerts ::: -->
Security and permissions are setup by cookie when members are logged into the secure section of the company website. Can you elaborate on the proper files and classes? I guess just pointing the form's action to the IPB forum won't work...
I have SSO setup between a company website and IPB. I have IPB feed blocks on our company website and works great and wanted to setup a html form on our company website to post New Topics to specified form on IPB. Company website has different domain name, server and IP.
