Nope. I've tested a few theories of my own, I thought it was perhaps because I was logged in via my phone using the same wireless network, but I've since bought a new phone and have never visited the forum using it. Thought it might also be IE doing something odd with the cookies but I've since tested Chrome and Firefox and they do the same thing.
I am logged out of the forum if I click the logout button at the top right of my forum, but if I go back to the forum later the same day, or the next day, or in a few days, I see that I'm logged back in automatically, as though the fact I had previously clicked 'logout' has been forgotten. I'm not sure if this is a 'feature' of the software or a bug. I suspect the latter as this would seem a silly feature given many users may be accessing the forum from a public computer. Is this a known issue?
After using Yahoo Tubes to correct some issues with poorly formated XML feeds, I've got the RSS import feature working like a charm, importing news headlines relevant to my community. I import them into locked threads in a forum used purely for this purpose.
However I do have one issue. I want all posts created by the RSS import function to be marked as 'unread'. This is how it usually works but I've noticed that some threads are imported and marked as 'read' - this appears to only happen if the thread is older than previously generated threads.
News 6 10/7
News 5 6/7
News 4 1/7
If the function imported News 7 with a date of 13/7, the thread would be 'unread' and posted at the top of the forum. However, if the function imported News 7 with a date of 5/7, the thread would be marked already 'read' and posted between News 4 and News 5.
I want them to be posted in date order so this part is correct, but I want all new threads to be marked 'unread' regardless whether they're older than threads that have already been viewed. Is what I'm seeing intended or a bug? Is there a way to force it to do what I want?
Hello, is there a quick way of adding several members to a certain user group or do I have to go through each profile to change? Also, can the ability to add people to a group be given to a non-moderator? Thanks in advance for any advice.
