HAve been away and missed the renewa of my license (was due December 17th). I went to the client section to renew ($85) - but got a message saying that this invoice now refers to products that have had their renewal costs changed. So I then clicked "cancel and reissue new invoice".
Now I cant find any way of renewing my licenses for various ip products I have. Any help much appreciated on what I should do to renew all licenses....
Have resolved this now, though Im not sure if it is a bug, so have reported it.
By switching off the setting Redirect to friendly URL in the system settings for SEO, the advertbanners and contactus links started to work again. I can only assume that the redirect to friendly URL setting is seeing the incoming request for index.php?app=nexus&module=promotion§ion=adclick&id=48 and trying to redirect to a frinedly version, which doesnt work.
As we have never used an older version of the IPBoard, there should not be any "un" friendly URLS to our board in existence, so believe I can safely leave this option off without any ill effects.
When you click this however, the page is not found. You get a standard "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." error in the browser - as if the page simply cannot be located.
For information we have ip.content and FURLs if this has anything to do with it.
I have tried recaching all, recaching skins etc - but no change.
Probably a very stupid question, but Im just getting to grips with the setting up of themes etc.
I was wondering if it is possible to have multiple themes, using one set of templates but with differing image sets.
I.e. we have 7 themes, all exactly the same other than the colour of the logo and a couple of css items. Red theme has red logo & red border in CSS, green theme has green logo & green border in CSS etc etc..
Is it possible to have multiple themes all using one set of templates, but having them use a different image set each, and different styles.css each?
What about an alternative method that phpbb uses - which is to allow a message to be sent to a member, but if that member has a full inbox, they cannot read the message until they clear out enough room to receive the new message.
ip phpbb it works a little like this:
User A send a message to User B. (user B has a full message box)
User B receives a notification that they have a new message - when they go to their inbox, they are advised the message is on hold until they clear out some old messages
User B clears out some old stuff, and then can "release" the message on hold.
The message then arrives in User B's inbox, and at the same time moves from User A's outbox, to sent items.
This allows a message to be sent, allows User A to see when it has been read (it is still in the outbox until read by User B and then it will show in User A's sent box).
It also means the person receiving the message is made aware that they have a full inbox, but does not require the sender to keep trying to send a message hoping that the other user has now made some space.
