This has been raised in our forum, very recently and it really gets on members nerves. Is there a way of changing the text 'warning points', to something entirely different? That may be a way round it.
I will go down the route of some-body else doing it, as long as it is done properly.
Now how do I go about cancelling my current Invision Board and set-up which includes hosting and buying the $175 license? Also, I noticed the IP Chat users fees, I am assuming these are the fees for IP Chat only and not how many members can frequent the forum at any one time?
Thank you for getting back to me. I've played around with the CSS and templates and I can achieve a desirable comparison to my current forum regards basic functionality but moreover the aesthetics. Definitely more than achievable and this is some-thing that I would like to do.
Where I will need the help is setting it up on another server with another host and converting my data across etc. Once the Invision software has been installed on the appropriate host I desire and all of my old data from my current existing PhpBB3 forum has been converted everything else I can achieve myself.
Recently a competitor of mine merged my PhpBB data with there Invision forum and run the conversion and it all worked very well so I know that this can be done. It looked very good too. Sadly the merge didn't work.
If you could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.
I have an account with Invision, hosting a forum which I have given up trying to convert. Sadly, Invision hosting is not ideal for me, it's just too slow.
I would really like to buy the license with renewal etc? However, I will need some support setting it up.
Is there anyone on here that I can get a quote from to set-up the forum on my other host, but more important complete the entire conversion process from PhpBB3 across to Invision.
The design of the forum etc. I would like to do.
The reason for wanting to employ some-one to do this is I simply do not have the time to do it myself. It is really important that this is an option, otherwise I don't think I will be in the position to purchase.
If there is anyone who would like to assist, please PM me.
I've set-up the converter, and I'm at the point where I am entering my database information. I've sourced the database information from my *config.php file on my existing PhpBB3 board, which I assume is correct. The database password is correct, local host is correct, table prefix is fine. When I submit all of this, I get the message as below:
Access denied for user 'babobal_phpb3'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
It really shouldn't be this difficult to add an image and position it easy within a box? The IP Content concept is a good one, but fundamentally as a very basic requirement in web site management - we as the editor need to be able to upload an image and position it precisely within a chosen CSS box. Now I am guessing that this can be done, but my word it is no obvious or easy feat. Any solutions? What I require is a box with an image elongated horizontally at the top and all the text below the image, very easy you would think - not so.

On the hosting plans you already have accress to all add ons from Gallery, Blogs, Downloads, Content and Chat so that part question don't need do any installing its done for you.
The external.php file normal in your zip file for ip.content but fact its installed good question do you have all downloads in client center ? as been long time using ips hosting in past could download any items had with your hosting account so could change the settings etc.
Don't appear too, no. Can't get this j query feature to work either, very frustrating so far. All part of learning some-thing new I guess. Anyone know where the external.php file is?
Right, I'm developing my site at http://metmonkey.invisionzone.com
I bought into a hosted package a few weeks ago.
These are probably really silly questions, but please bare with me as I'm new to the structuring here at IP. Now I've started to skin my forum, as the url above. However, my main concern is understanding the file directory and structure. For example, at no stage have I setup IP Content and all the other applications, I found the IP Board already installed and I have access to IP Blog, IP Content etc. I assume I do not need to do anything else?
Assuming that I do not need to download or upload anything. Where in the directory and file structure can I find IP Content, Blog, Board etc? I would of thought that logically these would be broken down into sub directories like IP Board, Content etc. I see nothing of the sort. Very Confusing.
I go-to public_html > admin >blog > interface etc.
My concern is the structure, and unlike the PhpBB3 one I've used previous - there seems less logic - unless I haven't done everything that I need too.
Another reason I ask this is because I am in the process of adding a j-query content slider and this is what it comes back with: If you wish to use the external widgets feature you must upload external.php from the IP.Content Tools folder to your forum root directory first.

If wanting something like the attached screenie then need to add
to the .ipsBox_container found in adminCP >> look & feel tab >> left click skin name >> css tab >> ipb_styles.css
obviously change the 25px to your own requirements
Thank you, that was the very first thing that I tried. It works fine when all posts are read. If you try adding a post, the .unread row overlaps and cuts out the radius.

Wow, I really can't figure it out..tried playing around with background-clip with no success..
Neither can I, I've kind of squared it back off now and added a offset box shadow. Ideally I would like to round it. Even tried adding padding to the .ipsbox and .ipsbox_content which although worked because I rounded the actual table - didn't look as integrated and neat as I wanted. Let me know if you can crack this one, I'll keep playing with it. Even thought I was going mad and assigned positioning to be relative on all features overlapping and assigning a z:index -
Maybe one you can answer: I would like to have a bottom footer idential to the pure #000011 colour as the .header, how can I acheive this so that it stretches the whole browser width? So far, I've not done too bad trying to suss things out - still learning as I go along. Thanks for your help

The unread row has a background colour which is overlapping the rounded border. You'd need to add a radius to the first and last td's of the last forum row.
Thanks Ehren, although what specific part of the CSS would this be? I've tried so many different things
