I tried a few variations of that, got any suggestions? : /
I can't seem to find the file that contains the actual HTML that affects the page.
This file contains the HTML, but changes I make to it aren't showing up on the page.
I'd like to remove the "rating" stars/system, and "submitter" info.
I expected those to be configuration options in Files -> Main -> Settings but I'm not seeing anything relevant.
I tried some "display:none" trickery with CSS, but wasn't able to make that work.
Also, are there any options for changing the text/location of the download button?
I'd like to make it say "Accept Terms and Download"
I'd appreciate any tips or tricks in this area, thanks.
That need to manually FTP up a php file with that specific code in it to achieve what has to be a common requirement is scary, but I'll keep an open mind as I move forward and that block model for the CMS does make sense.
The quick support you've been providing gives me confidence that I'll be able to get help when I need it, so kudos and thanks again.
First of all, thanks SO much for your help, that did the trick.
Second of all...OMG WOW!!! I am using the hosted service and simply can not BELIEVE it's actually this hard to set a home page! I totally thought you were pulling my leg at first.
I saw it said that the Invision site itself was built with IP.Content, and "you can build whatever you want with it" so I assumed the CMS element of the platform would be a lot more sophisticated than this.
Hopefully I had bad luck and it's just this first thing i wanted to do that is this ridiculously impossible to do without help, but this has me extremely concerned about my decision to build my company's developer network on this platform.
But again, back to my core point -- thanks very much for your help!
That field is already populated with index.html, as seen here: http://prntscr.com/fib4g
Maybe I'm asking the wrong question. : / I need to know how to make the very very main page of my site.
As currently configured that index.html page is the main page when I click the "Pages" tab in my main navigation,
but the main home page of my entire site ( http://solace.ipbhost.com/ ) insists on being the the "Forums" tab.
Thanks for your help, but how do I get to the "settings for the page"?
Sounds simple enough but I must be looking for love in all the wrong places, because I don't see the setting you describe in any of the places I'm looking.
Page settings sound like what I'd get to through the "Page Manager" screen , which brings up three tabs for a given page ( Page Details , Content and Done ) but I don't see "Make this your default page" on any of the three.
Frontpage Manager doesn't have a way to set home page either.
Sorry I'm so slow, but is there a "Getting Started with IP.Content that breaks down the basics of how it works?
I must be dense and/or missing something really obvious because I can't figure out how to use IP.Content, specifically create and set a custom home page. I can't find any mention of what must be a basic function in docs or forum. (which indicates others aren't having this problem which makes me feel dumb)
Under IP.Content i see three pages: articles.html, index.html and media.html.
I keep expecting to find something like in Wordpress where you can set what "page" you want to be your home page.
I thought "Frontpage Manager" would let me do that, but no such luck.
Any advice on getting to know IP.Content would be appreciated.
