    Actually - see here:

I've tried getting Converge to work with Joomla 1.6 and it just won't. I haven't tried in a while, so perhaps something has changed. I gave up and was less than impressed with the lack of support from IPB on what I thought was an official OPB product!

But if it's as simple as that how come sites like, and blogger, or even myspace and so on aren't hacked day in day out? They all allow users to heavily customise their pages or blogs and appear to keep them safe and secure.

I know what you're trying to say Brandon, but I'm afraid I think it comes down not to vulnerabilities but vision. If IPB wanted to create a secure means of highly customisable blogging then they could do so.

Your blog system is rigid and secure, but far too rigid for today's web2.0 communities I'm afraid for it to be a viable contender ... and especially a contender you have to pay for!!!

About Me

Hi there,

I'm a bit of a geek, but a nice guy really once you get to know me.

I've got a B.Sc(Hons) in Physics with Astrophysics, and an MA in Theology. I am an ordained minister in the Anglican church. I come from the evangelical persuasion, and pretty much the conservative end of it.

Like I said though - I'm a nice guy once you get to know me.

I love all things Sci-fi, especially good old star trek, and am firmly convinced that TNG was of course the best of the lot once you forgive the atrocious first season!!! :D

I'm still into astronomy and have a rather gorgeous 10" LX200 computerised scope, but sadly don't have the weather to go with it :(

Having worked in IT I remain involved in web design for my own ends and a few friends and contacts - but am desperately trying not to be a web designer anymore as my church work is far more fulfilling and much more important in the grand scheme of things (well I think helping people tops helping people with their websites anyway).
