I am implementing #5 on my website on top of IP.Content.

    While my site is not live yet, we feel the IPB suite is very promising - I cannot speak to how it will function under serious load/stress, but from a developer perspective, I must say I love their framework. I have worked with several frameworks in the past, (CodeIgniter, ZendFramework). Documentation on the actual capabilities is severely lacking, however, unless you are able to use their existing code as examples (which is what I am doing). Skill-wise, I would not have been able to work in this kind of a setup a few years ago, as it's definitely not "noob friendly" but if you have the talent/skillset to use it, it's a great platform for a community-centralized website.

    Ahh, alright. That should still be pretty easy, even with the AJAX loading and everything...

    So basically you want the ability to add select categories to the top where the 'app' links are? eg: Forums, Members, Calendar, Blogs, Pages, etc...? This really should be a pretty simple thing to pull off. PM me and I'd be willing to develop this for a fee, under the condition that a) I'm allowed to release it as a mod to the rest of the community for free OR b) I'm allowed to release it as a mod to the rest of the community for a charge...

    Interestingly enough, it looks like clearing my browser cache fixed this. I guess my browser cached the error page and so I wasn't seeing the proper page...

    This is fixed now.

    I have the forum installed on my localhost, so I simply downloaded the zip files, unzipped them, and moved the files to the right place on my hard drive.

    Yeah, I see article_comments in the xml file, and the file is 61kb as reported by finder (58,525 bytes).

    Strange.... Well I'm really not sure what to tell you guys here. My board hasn't had any mods made to it, neither has any skin been edited in any way, and yet I'm experiencing this issue both on an upgrade and a fresh install.

    I'd like to clarify that I initially upgraded IP.Board to 3.1.0 Beta from 3.0.5 and then uninstalled and reinstalled IP.Content ,as I was getting a MySQL error during the upgrade process. I then attempted a fresh install of IP.Board 3.1.0 Beta and I also checked the box for IP.Content during the initial install. I performed a fresh installation twice, and both times I experienced the issue.

    I can also confirm this is happening on a fresh install. I'll wait for Matt's fix to be released and update this issue if I'm still experiencing it..

    I have a 'comments' function, but not an article_comments function in my skin_ccs_global template.

    I've tried removing and re-installing the application and I'm still getting the same error.

    No, I'm not using a custom skin. I'm using the default skin with no modifications of any kind.

    View Article Error
    I'm getting the following error when I attempt to view articles...
Fatal error: Call to undefined method skin_ccs_global_1::article_comments() in /Volumes/Storage/Projects/site/forum/admin/applications_addon/ips/ccs/sources/articles.php on line 1287
I've upgrades my local forums from 3.0.5 to 3.1.0 Beta 1.

  12. neen added a post in a topic: Pass $type to group form extensions

    I think it would be useful to pass $type to classes that extend the admin group form, so that they can know whether it's a new group vs an edit to an existing group.

    This is a simple change to line 857 of admin/applications/members/modules_admin/groups/groups.php...

    $data = $_object->getDisplayContent( $group, $tabsUsed ); to

    $data = $_object->getDisplayContent( $group, $tabsUsed, $type );
