  1. sunrisecc added a bug in IPS4 Bug Tracker

    Beta4a - Forums names altered
After upgrading from 3a to 4a, I discovered that all Forums names had <p> and </p> surrounding the names which did not allow me to read any posts. I edited all forums names and removed the <p> and the </p> and all errors disappeared
    The original error was 1S160/2.

I had the same situation. I would agree that this is why you ran into the situation. The way Brandon described it, one or two tables were not updated or incorrectly updated and this confused beta 3.

    No problem.

I just stated that the updater was improved. I do know that it was not done before the release of 3a. In fact, it was done at least one day later.

Brandon reported to me that that the upgrader was improved to handle this situation. Beta 2 was updated to resolve this problem except for those of us who downloaded the beta early. Something to do with the core_widgets table.

My original error was caused by an early beta 2 upgrade version. After Brandon fixed the problem with the databse, I ran beta 3a with no problems at all. Thanks Brandon.

I am waiting for the next release whatever it is called -  beta 3 or beta 3b or beta 4.
The bug that I reported is still not resolved at this time.

    This might help.

500 errors are system errors and rarely are listed in the Invision logs.

Beta 3 error - first of many
Unknown column 'sys_module_admin' in 'where clause' UPDATE `ibf_core_modules` SET `sys_module_area`=? WHERE sys_module_admin=1
    Location: Step 1. Application Core

I previous had Beta 2 without any errors.

Hence, that function was removed in 4.0 as it is no longer needed.

    Thank you.

      No kidding.

  8. sunrisecc

finally updated my board to 3.2.3

  9. sunrisecc

Today, this board is reacting better than the last few days. What changed?

  10. sunrisecc

Why can't I start a topic in the tracker for tracker issues?

    1. Alex

      We're not accepting bugs yet

    2. sunrisecc

      Good answer. LOL.

    3. Michael

Probably a bug, best to post this in the tracker.

    4. sunrisecc

Per Alex above, they are not accepting bugs yet. Hence no use reporting it at this time.

    5. Michael

Yeah, I know, sorry, was trying (evidently unsuccessfully) to make a joke.

    6. sunrisecc

No need to apologize. When I waken each morning, I ask myself if today is the day!

    7. .Peter

      @Michael I laughed.

  11. sunrisecc

having difficulty following topics in the latest tracker

    1. sunrisecc

Tracker has been updated; just 'next unread' needs fixing.

    2. AndyF

There's still a few things to iron out :) , although each 'update' (its had one or two today) brings more fixes.

  12. sunrisecc

I'm so old that the only hookers I have a need for, are the members who create hooks for the board.

    1. Breadfan

^^Yeah..well, at least they don't charge you much.

    2. sunrisecc

      And the satisfaction lasts longer.

    Happy Birthday! :)

  14. sunrisecc

Tired of reading 'that's how VB does it'

    1. AndyF

Is that still going ? :o

    2. sunrisecc

Yes especially when IPB does it a different way.

    3. Gaffney

Well that's how VB users done it.

    4. AndyF

I meant VB :p , but in jest obviously :) , well from the bigger picture we have features they do not and vice versa too.

    5. media

All I care, IPB is going right direction ;)

    6. Charles

Depending on what it is, "that's how vB does it" is often a good reason NOT to do something ;)

    7. sunrisecc

      Amen.

  15. sunrisecc

is disappointed that the bug in the ACP of searching by last visit is till there. It was reported by Jason and myself in July. SQL command selects 20 while the ACP selects ~100.

    1. .Peter

Thats ok... my bug wasn't fixed either... How you are given the option to delete every one's status updates once you hit "View More"

    2. sunrisecc

At the very least, an explanation should be forthcoming. Someone will use the purge fuction and delete many more members than the admin wants.

  16. sunrisecc

Hope some of the bugs in the ACP get resolved before release of 3.1.3.

    1. Planetby

yea I hate wee beasties too lol

    where's cleancut 3.1.2?

    1. Alex

      Ask Brian. :)

    2. SkimPappa

CleanCut will be released in due time. There are no 'big' issues that will stop you from using the 3.1.1 version of it.

  19. sunrisecc

    3.1.2 is available for download

    1. Olivier Turbis

      what?

    2. emm1

      Indeed.

    3. Olivier Turbis

Yep... just checked as well. announcement should be soon I guess.
