I've swapped disks for years obviously doable. I'd recommend if you are going to add your old disk to the new PC, to back up your needed files and format the disk prior to moving it over, Then install a fresh copy of your OS of choice and re-introduce your needed files.
Better yet, buy a SSD (speed improvement is unreal) for your main drive and then use the old drive for storage or a backup disk.
I've been asking for this for some time now. It really should be this simple.
Member A purchases a widget from Member B
Member B receives funds and releases widget.
Forum invoices member B % listing fee. (there would be no transaction cost) Done.
If member B does not pay said invoice member B looses marketplace privileges. At this point you are still not out anything plus you have not assumed any risk. The widgets my communality will sell will be at a much greater cost than the 10$ hooks sold here and I do not want to assume the risk associated with online transactions.
Let the seller assume the risk (after all they are selling the item) and let me collect a listing fee.
I was also considering a move to IPS Hosted untill I saw the storage usage limitations. My present host (hostgator) has unlimited storage and unlimited bandwidth no matter the package. Any one with a community that hosts video tutorials, a gallery and files will chew up that storage in no time.
The benifit of having an IPS manged server that you know will be optimized for IPS is definitly a plus tho. Still tossing the idea around...
