This deal where the green loading appears and never goes away and the post never posts is getting very very very very very annoying. No clue if it's only on thiss ite or on other sites using the software, but I just ahd to copy my text, refresh the page, pase it, click post again. I did that at least 10 times today already in the short time I've been on the site. It's been this way for weeks.

I think in my cases it did have autosaved content, but I can't remember. Actually soemtimes I think it's immediately and thus hadn'[t had time for the autosaved content.
I would run ccleaner (link) on your computer if it were me.

I've used ccleaner before, but I don't see how that ahs anything to do with editor behavior. After a refresh it always works, so it's something in this setup rather than my comp.

This is hiulariously happening EVERY single time I type a message. It probably does have to do with the auto saving because any time I take time to type something it happens. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. It's annoying. Then i refresh the page and paste it back in and quickly click submit and it works. Every time.
I believe it is related. At times, it is rather frustrating.
It happens to me too!.
It it happening for me as well. When this happened I checked the process log/top in the server and found an Apache process taking up 99% CPU:

29147 nobody 29 4 168m 140m 4552 R 99.8 3.5 5:52.77 /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL

I knew it was related and so I killed that PID and then the page loaded.
When you see this happening, if you know how, check for javascript errors to see if anything shows. Also, if you are using Firefox and can use Firebug to watch the request/response to/from the server, to see if the response is taking a long time or if you got some sort of error (i.e. a 403 or 500 response) it would be extremely helpful.

I have never seen this happen, so I don't know what to say or what would cause this for select people at this time.
I ususally use IE9 and there never is any error displayed. Next time it happens, I will switch to FF (6.0) and will see what Firebig shows.

I use IE9 also. Willt ry tot rack it down if i remember. It just did it again. I hoenstly think I couldn't reproduce it working on the first time as it always does this every time now. Must be browser specific i guess.
I just had it happen again using IE9. I refreshed the page, opened the full editor and retrieved my contents from autosave and posted successfully. I did not have time to start FF6.

For further posts , I will use the full editor and see if it happens there.
I just went to the test forum, using the full editor and waited to post after the first autosave. I actually got kicked right out. I went back in and was able to post the autosave contents. Still using IE9.
I have been testing with FF6 and could not get it to fail. I switched back to IE9 and it failed right away.
Matt - have seen this come up a few times now (well, a lot, but only from a few different people). Seems to only happen in IE9. Any ideas?

It doesn't necessarily ahve to do with auto save as now I just finished a messagge before it auto saved it and still it did this It just dodly happens that first time though. If you can hurry and submit it the second timje with the auto saved content or by pasting it and quickly submitting it works then. But never seems to work the first time typing it.
I've had several IE9 users complain about this happening to them, as well. It seems to get stuck as soon as "Saving post..." pops up.

On this company site it's seemed to stop doing it for the past day. I doubt they updated the software on this site directly other than maybe they disabled something that was causing it?
Nope, it just happened to me a few minutes ago. Because of the IE9 other problems, I used FF6 yesterday and it never happened. In fact FF6 posts much faster with nary a problem.

This tracker has a bug... it shows a page 2 when the last post was yours on page 1. lol
Either something has changed or cleaning cache and this site's cookies has helped. (for now).

Well it just now did it to me again. So who knows. It's never tied direcdtly to having stored content though, since I can always refresh and paste it back in manually and submit. Even with it still saying I have saved content. But more specifically I guess it happens once the save content feature is triggered to do the saving.
I've tried to reproduce this but seem unable to do so. Until I get some more to go on it's a bit of a wild goose chase.

I've tried different BBCodes, waiting for auto save, not waiting, making other posts in-between, having another member make posts in the same topic, etc.

Tried it locally and on our company forums.
It has been happening all morning to me. I took a screen shot before I refreshed. It is after the green flashing lights disappeared.
