no page load in ie8 if the more navibar dropdown menu shows

ie8 - if the dropdown 'more' part of the navigation bar kicks in, the page will not load in ie8
error can be seen by visiting this site in ie8
shrink the browser window so the 'more' will kick in
refresh the page
page stops loading at the navbar and reports
