Calendar Recurring Events

I have an event set up to recur every Friday I have two issues:
1) On the forthcoming events the list shows the first event in the month, no others and then a random event at the end which isn't even a Friday.
2) I may be missing something but the event listing doesn't seem to show any of the event details. Unless the timings are entered into the event description there doesn't seem to be anyway to view them?

#2 - It appears recurring events ignore start/end time, or at least don't display it.
