Media management has no sorting

Alright so I used the ACP media managment to upload 46 images. All the images are named like this

volume02cover.gif
All they way until
volume46cover.gif
I uploaded all the images at once and once it was done I saw that there was absolutely no sorting of the images (unless its by size or the time when the upload was completed?).
This becomes more of a problem when you go into template editing and want to use the helpful template tags. Because then when I click the media tab, there's a lot of scrolling to do to find my image. ABC order would be appreciated here.
