Not getting notified of new comments on content I follow

I don't know if this is specific to IP.Downloads or if something in the IP.Board like/comments classes needs adjusted.

Essentially my issue is this. On this site, since we require approval of all IP.Downloads comments before they are visible, when I follow a file and comments are made on that file, I do not get notified either when the (hidden) comment is made or when the comment is approved.

Apparently I got several comments on my newest file and was not aware of that until I checked the file in the Marketplace, even though I follow the file.

That's WAI right now because there is no notification when a comment is approved but I did suggest adding it for 3.3 since we've changed how moderation works, emails for approved posts are being sent now so we'll likely change how comments work too (unless we've already changed it but Download requires an updated code too possibly, can't recall).

IP.Board is not sending notifications in this instance. I will talk with Matt/Mark about this, but ultimately it would be best fixed in the core comments class I expect.

Replicated, and this also seems to occur with IP.Board posts.

I think that this should be fixed.

We've discussed this internally. We consider this a limitation in the global comments system, and we have a todo to improve this in a future release.
