previous - next button problems

This one is rather tricky to reproduce, please don't send me to support or ask me ACP, 
When I upload pictures, let's say 6 pictures, on a subalbum of member albums (maybe this bug hits elsewhere), the previous/next link do not work properly when viewing my own pics : if I click of the first one from the global view ; i've got a next link, clicking it leads me to the next picture, but then there is no previous link
this only happens if
- the picture owner (or moderator maybe?) views the pictures
- you start with the first picture (clicking the first pic on the album view)
if you start by clicking the second picture, you've got prev/next, but if you hit "previous and got back to the first picture, then hit next, back to the same pic you started with, you won't have previous anymore
basically, previous button disappears mysteriously
if ANOTHER user views the album, previous / next link seem to work properly
i'd be glad to send sql debugs if necessary, because this one is obviously tricky... please tell me the qeries i should look for.

I fail to reproduce this bug here but i'll keep trying.
this is on 3.3.0 obviously.
