Thumbnails on albums

If you have an album set to Album Only.. It shows thumbnails from the subalbums
If you have an album set to Image Only, It shows thumbnails for images inside the forum.
However.. if you have it set to Albums AND Images, then it tries to show thumbnails for Albums.. If no albums exist, it shows nothing.
this seems like a ping-ponging error. because, previously, it would show blank if you had albums in it, but no images.
Can't we just set it to look for direct images? if they exist.. Show those as the thumbnails, if not, show subalbums as the thumbnails?
Or, the other way around.check for albums, if not, show image thumbs.

It's the same basic problem. We allow member albums to have subalbums.. but, if you create a subalbum, and there are no images in the BASE member album, then no thumbnail shows.
So, having it check the main album for images, and if they don't exist, look in the subalbums solves the issue above, and also corrects it when members use subalbums of member albums.
If you have albums and images, it shows the subalbums
Albums only, it shows the subalbums
Images only, it shows images from the main album.
