Create a coupon for 100% off.
Transaction gets marked as Failed and Note: "The invoice was paid in full by another transaction while this transaction was pending."
But the transaction does go through and the member is upgraded. But should say Complete.

There was no transaction as the invoice was paid by a coupon (transactions only apply to the actual sending of money via a gateway).
